These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the World Trade Developers website, membership platform, events, registrations, content, communications and related services.

By accessing or using WTD platforms, submitting a form, registering for an event, applying for membership, or using the Member Portal, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and World Trade Developers Inc. (“WTD”, “we”, “us” or “our”). They apply to the WTD website, digital platforms, membership network, Member Portal, events, exhibitions, trade delegations, business-development services, communications and related activities.

If you use any WTD service on behalf of a company, organization or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on that entity’s behalf.

WTD Services & Platforms

WTD provides business-development and international collaboration platforms that may include international trade development, investment facilitation, business consulting, global exhibitions and expos, trade delegations, government relations, membership opportunities, business networking, market updates and media content.

WTD may update, expand, suspend or discontinue any page, program, service, event, feature or platform at any time where reasonably necessary for operational, security, legal, commercial or program-related reasons.

Accounts, Membership & Member Portal

Some WTD features require a membership application, account registration or approved portal access. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate, complete and current.

  • You must protect your account credentials and not share your password with another person.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless you notify WTD promptly of unauthorized use.
  • WTD may review, approve, decline, suspend or deactivate accounts where information is incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, abusive or inconsistent with these Terms.
  • Membership approval, business visibility, introductions, event access and other benefits remain subject to WTD review, program availability and applicable eligibility requirements.
  • WTD may ask members to update business information, payment records, profile details or compliance-related information.

Events, Exhibitions & Registrations

Event, exhibition, delegation, visitor, exhibitor, sponsor, speaker and media registrations are subject to the specific information, eligibility requirements, capacity limits, payment terms and rules provided for the relevant program.

Registration

Submitting a registration does not guarantee acceptance, attendance, exhibitor placement, speaking participation, sponsorship approval, visa support or business results. WTD may request additional information or decline registrations where appropriate.

Program Changes

Event dates, venues, speakers, exhibitors, agendas, formats, capacity and program elements may change due to operational, safety, travel, legal, venue, governmental or force-majeure circumstances.

Where a digital ticket, confirmation email or QR code is issued, it is personal to the registered participant unless WTD confirms otherwise. WTD may require identity verification at check-in and may refuse entry where a ticket is used improperly.

Payments, Membership Fees & Refunds

Where fees apply, you agree to pay the stated amount, currency and applicable taxes or charges before the relevant service, membership, ticket, package or booking is confirmed. Payment may be processed through a third-party payment provider or through a WTD-approved manual verification process.

  • Membership, event or registration status may remain pending until payment is verified or approved by WTD.
  • Manual payment proof, transaction references and supporting documents may be requested for verification.
  • Refund, cancellation, transfer, credit or postponement terms may vary by event, membership plan, package or program and will be communicated where applicable.
  • WTD may refuse, cancel or reverse a transaction where payment is unauthorized, incomplete, fraudulent, disputed or inconsistent with the stated program terms.

Acceptable Use & Professional Conduct

You agree to use WTD platforms and programs lawfully, professionally and in good faith. You must not use WTD services to misrepresent a business, send spam, harass others, collect personal data without authorization, interfere with systems, upload harmful material, infringe rights or engage in unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory or abusive conduct.

WTD may investigate conduct that may breach these Terms. Where appropriate, WTD may remove content, restrict access, cancel a registration, suspend membership access, refuse participation or report suspected unlawful activity to relevant authorities.

Networking, Introductions & Opportunities

WTD may facilitate member introductions, networking requests, business profiles, opportunity listings, trade leads, event connections and curated business matches. These are provided to support business engagement and do not constitute a guarantee of an investment, contract, sale, partnership, visa, funding outcome or commercial result.

Members and participants are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into any transaction, partnership, investment, agreement or business relationship with another person or organization.

Content, Intellectual Property & Submissions

Unless otherwise stated, the WTD website, brand identity, text, designs, graphics, event materials, platform content, logos, databases and digital materials are owned by or licensed to WTD and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may view and use publicly available WTD content for legitimate personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, sell, publish, modify, distribute, scrape or exploit WTD content, branding or systems without prior written permission.

If you submit business information, images, logos, profiles, media, event materials or other content to WTD, you confirm that you have the right to provide it. You grant WTD a non-exclusive right to use that content as reasonably necessary to deliver the relevant service, event, membership profile, promotion or communication.

Third-Party Links & External Services

Our website and communications may include links to third-party websites, platforms, event partners, payment providers, exhibitors, sponsors, members or external resources. WTD does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, terms, privacy practices, availability or transactions.

Your use of third-party services is governed by the relevant third party’s terms and policies.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

WTD works to provide accurate, useful and professionally relevant information. However, website content, market information, event content, opportunity listings, external links and business connections are provided for general informational and business-development purposes and may change without notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WTD does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, commercial outcomes, investment outcomes, business introductions, event attendance, partnership results or suitability of any external person, organization, product, opportunity or service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WTD will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or business losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the website, portal, events, membership network or related services.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute should first be raised with WTD in writing so the parties have an opportunity to seek a practical resolution.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

WTD may revise these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of WTD services after updated Terms are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
